Stage Manager
Are you passionate about theater production and do you thrive in a dynamic, creative environment? Easthampton Theater Company is seeking a dedicated Stage Manager to join our vibrant team and help bring to life our production of Enchanted April.
Location: Easthampton, MA (Williston Theater)
Performance Dates: weekends of March 13th and 20th, 2026.
Weekly rehearsals start in January with a few dates scheduled in December for read-throughs and initial workshops. Rehearsals will be Sunday, Monday and Wednesday evenings. Tech week is all week immediately preceding opening weekend. The production is directed by Gilana Chelimsky and produced by Michael O. Budnick and Deborah Jacobson. Easthampton Theater Company is an all-volunteer group, but we are able to provide a modest stipend for this position.
Responsibilities:
• Manage scheduling, including rehearsal times, technical rehearsals, and performance dates.
• Coordinate with director, cast, and crew members to maintain efficient communication and collaboration throughout the production process.
• Organize and maintain stage props, set pieces, and costumes.
• Supervise backstage activities during performances, ensuring seamless scene changes and addressing any unexpected challenges.
• Work collaboratively with sound and light operations to "call" the show.
• Provide leadership and support to the production team, fostering a positive and professional working environment.
Qualifications:
• Previous experience in stage management or related roles preferred.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Flexibility and adaptability to handle changing priorities and unforeseen circumstances.
• Passion for theater and a commitment to supporting the artistic vision of the director.
